Toronto is very civilized but a bit weathery. Vancouver is very beautiful but a bit pretentious. I don’t think there is anywhere in English Canada more interesting than Montreal or Quebec City, and there are restaurants in both that serve nothing but poutine, if the trip goes badly and you’re inclined to commit an especially slow suicide.
