Dear podcast-listeners,
There have been three times in his life where Olly Mann couldn’t speak French, so he let the funky music do the talking: 1) his GCSE French oral exam, which is why he received a D grade; 2) one mad, hot night at the Bruni-Sarkozy holiday bungalow; and 3) in Answer Me This! Episode 166:

This week’s Bit of Crap on the App (available for iPhone or Android, yessir) is a question from Gareth about what’s the oldest thing still in use today. My dad’s underpants. HA. (Seriously: 40+ years’ service and still going strong.)

This wasn’t showing up on my iTunes either, but I got the RSS feed directly from this post and used it on iTunes and it worked.

iTunes doesn’t want to download the episode for me either…

It’s in my iTunes, but our hosts can’t explain why it isn’t appearing in yours. Maybe a regional problem? Beats me. I wish there was something we could do about it, but there isn’t.

Mine’s fine

Adding my fake name to the list of people who’re telling you that it still isn’t in iTunes.

Hello,
you mentioned in episode 166 that a woman can’t get pregnant performing a blowjob… maybe you should have added a little disclaimer there. I bet Boris Becker (the german former tennis player) is still puzzled how the broomcupboard thing turned out into a daughter…
Best regards and keep up the good work. You have quite some followers here in Luxembourg.
February 12, 2011 at 2:08 pm |
Eh?? Becker had non-oral sex in the broom cupboard – unless you were in there too and can tell us otherwise!
February 12, 2011 at 5:05 pm |
Obviously I wasn’t in the broomcupboard with them… But from the story in the german press at that time the followings seems to have happened: Becker was adamant that it was only a blowjob and it appeared that she kept the sperm to inseminate herself with it later… It has to be said that becker turned out to be a good man about it and seems to be a good father to his “unusualy conceived” daughter…
Best regards,
Martin

Oh, in the press here it was definitely sex of the non-blowie variety. Also the kid does look EXACTLY like him

Do Bond Girls Return?
I was watching Tomorrow Never Dies on cable a few years ago and when the film ended the cable channel’s announcer mentioned that there were plans for Michelle Yeoh to return as Col. Wai Lin in the next James Bond film. I was expecting her character to show up in Die Another Die when Bond swam into Hong Kong, but she was not in the film.
Other than Miss Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell, Caroline Bliss for the Dalton films and Samantha Bond for the Brosnan films) and M (Judi Dench for the Brosnan and Craig films. (Should Judi Dench be called a Bond girl?)), the only Bond girl who returned that I’m aware of is Maude Adams. She was Scaramanga’s henchwoman in The Man with the Golden Gun, her character was killed. She returned in the title-role Octopussy. I just checked imdb.com, and it turns out she was an extra in A View to a Kill.

Strangely the episode shows in the iTunes store, but isn’t being downloaded automatically…

Do you need a new technical person…? I’ll volunteer
February 10, 2011 at 6:10 pm |
It’s still not available on iTunes, sadly…. hope this issue can get fixed soon, but thank you for making it possible for us to listen to and enjoy the podcast on the website. Olly’s attempt at French will stay in my brain for way too long…..! x

Hi folks, sorry to say that this is not showing up in iTunes again…
