glove sandwich

Chomp on this question from Bupe from Manchester:

Just the other day I was making a sandwich and I found a shred of a glove. So answer me this: what is the weirdest thing you have found in food?

Half a chicken’s skull in a tomato stew was pretty weird. But not as much as a fragment of woollen mitten or rubber glove. Readers, go to the comments and tell us about the time you found a small plastic boat in your can of soup.

oh, and when the fish we had came with the head still on, she tried to feed me the eye with her chopsticks. Pretty much any meal you order for the first time in China will have something you weren’t expecting in it.
You can also buy a lovely chickens foot in a plastic packet at the supermarket. It is almost entirely bone and gristle and is so far the single most fucking disgusting snack I have ever tried.

I visited a restaurant in China with my Chinese girlfriend and had chicken soup. I got the head in mine, which she thought was very lucky.
The soup was lovely, but I didn’t eat the head.

I work on a supermarket fish counter, when putting out some fresh whole mackrels, 2 of them had tails sticking out of their mouths, so i pulled on the tails and out came some smaller fish which the mackrels had been eating, what a really bad time to get caught!

I once found a chicken’s beak in a chicken pie bought from the school canteen. I have not eaten another chicken pie since then and it was over 20 years ago.

A 3 inch nob that the cook had broke off the oven. It was wrapped up in a chicken Caesar wrap. But I once informed, he gave me the meal for free so it was worth it. I kinda wish it would happen again.
