Callum from Selby, North Yorkshire

Who is your favourite TV detective?

I’m sure I have intimated as much on previous podcasts (clue: begins with a ‘C’, rhymes with ‘Bolumbo’. Binspector Borse runs a close second) so, rather than repeat myself, I want to know who your favourite TV detective is. Poirot? Holmes? Creek? Get thee to the comments to tell me!

Jimmy McNulty from The Wire has to be the best detective ever. Swiggin’ on the Jameson’s and inventing a serial killer to draw attention, and funds, to the department. What a guy.

I agree that Miss Marple (as played by Joan Hicks) is the best TV detective. Next on my list would probably be Sherlock Holmes.

I don’t know if you can call her a detective, but my favorite is Miss Marple. I prefer the Miss Marple portrayed by Joan Hickson.

Maybe I’m just a huge Agatha Christie fan, because as close second comes Hercule Poirot.
